Prepaid is becoming a choice for  more and more customers around the world. Even customers in traditionally postpaid markets are turning to prepaid as a way to manage their spend on communications services.  As a consequence, prepaid customers are now eager to benefit from much more advanced communications services, and service provider are looking to expand their prepaid offerings to include services traditionally offered only to postpaid customers. This blog will explore how real time BSS systems are becoming more and more critical to service providers in their efforts to win critical market share, increase revenue and offer the same rich service offerings to both pre and postpaid customers.

A lot of people will be contributing to this blog, but first up is me, so let me introduce myself.  I am Michel Arrede, and i’ve  been in the SDP market for 10 years.  I started off as a telecom engineer at Atos-Origin, then moved from being a telecom architect to a telecom consultant at Lucent Technology. This experience taught me about market segmentation and positioning and so I  moved on to Marketing and Business Development positions. At HP, I led the SDP and IMS market development efforts in EMEA. Today. I am a Marketing Analysis and Planning expert at Amdocs, responsible for positioning Amdocs’ service delivery offering.
